Ashley Petry: Writer and Editor

The written word is an incredible thing. For centuries, we have relied on an alphabet of just 26 shapes to communicate the full range of human experience. Now, I use those letters as the building blocks for compelling, creative and relevant stories.

Based in Indianapolis, Indiana, I write for many local and regional publications, including both newspapers and magazines. I also complete writing, editing and publishing projects for corporate and nonprofit clients and teach composition at a local college.

I also maintain two popular blogs. That'll Teach Me features adult learning opportunities in Indianapolis, such as pottery classes and astronomy lectures. Shakespeare in a Year covers my quest to read all 38 Shakespeare plays in one year (and see as many as possible performed).
